Deliver Real Value

There are so many get rich quick schemes out there that its easy to get sucked into to the mindset that its all about the moneymoneymoneymoney! When you have that attitude its very easy to skimp on value and deliver a horrible product and completely undercut yourself.

Imagine for a minute (not too many minutes) that you do in fact rush for the big bucks as soon as possible. Inevitably your product or service will lack the mmmph to have any staying power whatsoever, your customers won’t be satisfied and the worst part is that they’ll remember you and your name long after your business is dead gone thereby hampering any future plans you might have.

Then how do you create value?

To create value you need to possess it first. If you’re not valuable then become valuable. How do you become valuable? Learn and gain skills. This is just obvious. The people who create the most valuable products have usually spent an enormous amount of time researching and implementing actionable items from their chosen field.

Just take a look at any innovator in any field: Bill Gates, Tony Robbins, Tim Ferriss, Michael Jordan the list could go on forever. All these people put everything they had into their products and their industry and in the end were able to produce products that people would gladly pay handsomely for. Products that moved people to act. This is called tangible value.

You can tell if you’ve created tangible value if you what you produce incited action and not just a pat on the back. Tangible value moves people. Intangible or hollow value gets a pat on the back and obligatory nod. Inspire your customers to act by creating something so valuable that its not a choice of whether or not your target consumer will buy it but a choice of when they will buy it.

So to create tangible value you need to obtain tangible value for yourself. Pick a few interests and find out what the most popular books are on those subjects. Go check them out. See if there are any clubs surrounding those interests or hobbies and join them. Audit some classes at your local college.

The best and fastest way to absorb everything you’re learning is to start teaching it immediately. There are so many free and easy mediums for communicating now it wont be a problem to find an audience. Start writing a blog explaining concepts and demonstrating skills. Hold a local seminar, record it and post that on your blog as well . Create Mp3′s explaining your new knowledge. Write in your journal. Find some way to start teaching as soon as possible.

So, what are you interested in learning more about?

Is it Philosophy? Maybe you’ve always wanted to learn Mandarin Chinese? Have you ever wished you knew more about finance or auto mechanics?Quilting? Scrap booking? Horseback Riding? Glass making? The possibilities are endless. The key is to chose one and dive in.

REMEMBER, the most effective and efficient way to retain what you learn is to start teaching it immediately!

There you have it. You now have something valuable to give to others. If you can teach how to gain to a skill or if you can teach a complex concept to your niche then you’ll start providing real value. All the while you’ll learning more and faster as long as you keep teaching. It becomes clear that legitimate E businesses will take longer to be profitable than is often advertised.

So often we see E businesses go live and then skyrocket to the top of the industry or even more common make enough money to make commoners like ourselves to nearly gag. What we almost never see is the incredibly investment of time money and focus that each individual a part of that company put forth. Just remember that starting an online business requires a ton of effort, focus and discipline but as you know the rewards are enormous :)

So get to it! If you already have a passion then start teaching! If you’re still looking for that passion choose something, dive in and start teaching what you learn! Please excuse all the exclamation points. Don’t take offense. I’m just yelling at you :)
